Fastener type for ribbon bar

Is the fastener in the bottom left hand corner WWII or post war?

i believe that would be a mid or early war pin. i seen a few of them on uniforms from time to time. early pins where sewn on through loops. then the military went to that type before going to the common and current round one. If i am wrong someone please correct me.

Definitely WW2 era. Apparently made that way to get around the patent for the standard round clutch.
