Handpainted Shot Glasses and Etched Shot Glasses

My Uncle brought these back from Germany, he said he liberated several items after he was sent house to house looking for and collecting weapons. The painted ones are very thin glass, I don't see how they survived this long, I think when I was a kid I remember there being 6 of them.The etched ones are an unusual shape. Any info on any of these would be great.
