Third Herd Posted January 8, 2013 Share #1 Posted January 8, 2013 Is there something to put on the snaps of field gear so they will not lock together and no stain the cloth?

Okie96 Posted January 22, 2013 Share #6 Posted January 22, 2013 Hello. I've got some rust and green stuff on some snaps on some of my field gear. What's the green stuff and how do I clean and preserve them?
1940Desoto Posted January 22, 2013 Share #7 Posted January 22, 2013 Okie, Thats is verdegris mate, I clean my brass first with natural white vinegar and a Q tip, and then cover the brass with a very light film of Rennaisance wax. Be careful not to get any verdegris on the material/web/canvas. Here is a link to the waw...it is excellent http://www.picreator.co.uk/ Cheers Sean
