billl Posted February 7, 2013 Share #51 Posted February 7, 2013 MW, That's about where I pegged it, too. $500 bucks. Another artifact that will sit forever because of unrealistic pricing. While the poster was sincere, this is so far from reality. Of course, this isn't the first item with unrealistic self-valuation. Ever see a large Nazi "flag" that's actually a banner? People think they are priceless...but they are actually very common, and hard to display. And there are thousands of them.
SgtMaddoxUSMC Posted May 6, 2017 Share #52 Posted May 6, 2017 Here is a photo from March 1917's issue of Recruiter's Bulletin that shows what looks like the banner.

Ronnie Posted May 14, 2017 Share #54 Posted May 14, 2017 I wonder if he'll take $48,750.00?
billl Posted June 19, 2017 Share #55 Posted June 19, 2017 Brig has it pegged as to value. And my take, thanks to seller for the laugh. Haven't enjoyed a thread this much in a while. Even funnier than the "$10,000 Adolf Hitler swastika flags" that are really banners, which hung from every public in occupied Europe. This is a good, well thought out forum. Thanks to all for intelligent discourse.
