Child's WAAC

I always considered this to represent the WAAC because of the look of the eagle. But I suppose it could be for either boys or girls. Notice the badge is made of cardboard and held on with a bent straight pin. There is also a "V" and the "...-" morse code for "V" under it. I have to guess this was never give to a child due to it's excellent condition.

BRIAN KEITH and DOYLER: If you will take a look at a U.S. Quarter Dollar, you will see it is the same style eagle. Here are two pages showing the WAAC/WAC cap badge eagle as well as WAAC/WAC uniforms. Sarge Booker :)

Thanks hhbooker2,

These type of insignia are often styalized and not a real close copy of the original. Because of the cut of the hat and the style of the eagle, I have always thought it was made as a WAAC cap.

I had not noticed that it is a copy of the eagle on the quarter, Good call!
