WW1 collar disc with a surprise

Got these yesterday from a gun show dealer. I didn't know it until I got home and looked closer, but the MG disc had a concealed sweetheart picture inside. I have never found one of these before, so I'm pretty stoked about it.

I have one of these utilizing a WWI service button. I don't think I've ever seen this done with a collar disc....

I have one that belonged to my grandfather, but like Patriot's, it is a uniform button. Still very cool, especially when you weren't expecting it!

They always seem to show up by surprise. This was in a recent lot. Nice WW1 US collar disc. My first encounter of the sweetheart discs.

I have one for the Quartermaster Corps. It seems the photo above was the seller's insert as mine has this same one. Either that or this woman was extremely popular!
