edgeer Posted December 9, 2012 Share #1 Posted December 9, 2012 I'm just going to post a photograph of the boxes of my dad's medals for now. I have to reduce the file size to be able to upload them here.
edgeer Posted December 9, 2012 Author Share #2 Posted December 9, 2012 Here's my dad;s ribbons. You'll find both US Maritime Service ribbons (WW2 served on the Liberty Ships), and ribbons from his tour with the 11th Airborne during Occupation of Japan (46-47) and his tour during the Korean War (52-53). firefighter Posted December 9, 2012 Share #4 Posted December 9, 2012 Nice United Nations medal box.I think the 'E' is fro English. They came in all different languages to cover all the nation's that served in Korea. Some languages are rare due to the small amount of soldiers sent from that country. edgeer Posted December 10, 2012 Author Share #8 Posted December 10, 2012 Here's his US Army WW2 Occupation Medal. He earned this while assigned to the 11th Airborne Division in Japan. The medal is missing the Bar for Japan and is not present in the box. When I looked at the medal it doesn't appear that the bar was ever attached.
