Ches-Gen-4 Posted November 18, 2016 Author Share #276 Posted November 18, 2016 Thank you Dennis, as I have said before, it is an honor to be the caretaker of these family heirlooms. A labor of love! Bob

tsakers85 Posted December 26, 2019 Share #281 Posted December 26, 2019 Did any of General Chesarek's items make it into the open market? For example, this cap? https://www.ebay.com/itm/4-Star-General-Ferdinand-Chesarek-Dress-Visor-Hat-With-Bullion-Accents/163990798073?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

manayunkman Posted December 27, 2019 Share #283 Posted December 27, 2019 The link doesn’t work for me. Was the hat part of this collection or did it come from another source?

doyler Posted January 2, 2022 Share #285 Posted January 2, 2022 Bringing this back up as I never tire of looking at the group of General Cheserek and some new members may not have had the opportunity to view this archive.
Jtski Posted August 30, 2023 Share #286 Posted August 30, 2023 I enjoyed reading through this, such a great family history and tribute. I'd be interested to know the story behind the initial campaign star on the Asiatic-Pacific Medal as I believe the A-P medal without star was the correct entitlement for the General's service with Alaskan Defense Command with no specific mention of Aleutian campaing service, supported by the plain ribbon being worn for the remainder of the General's career.
