WWII Patched CBs and Amphib forces Jumpers

I have picked up these in the past 6 weeks or so. the amphib Motor machinist 2nd class and the cb jumper with the SSI i got in a trade from Allan H. (sorry it took so long to post them guy)The patch i got for valentines day from my Girlfriend. She actually picked it out and bought it on ebay without my knowing.

The other two jumpers are ebay purchases.

Both pieces were out of my collection, and I have had both for many, many years. The CB was an early garage sale buy and one of the first US uniforms that i ever had. I even wore the thing a couple of times before my dad lost patience with me for wearing it with a pair of blue jeans.

I am glad that they have found a good home. I truly believe that WWII USN is one of the most under-appreciated areas of collecting.

Everybody knows the 2nd Rangers landed in normandy on june 6th and the marines landed on Iwo but very few people know anything about the navy and coastguard personal who crewed the lcvp's and other small craft, provided medical care, and cleared beaches in africa, italy, and france and made dozens of D-days in the pacific.

 

The uniforms i got from you, Allan, are the best in my collection.
