HA! I love pictures like these. Seems like every photo album has a shot of a guy holding a pistol on his Sgt.

Since were posting some more recent decades.....

Here is my driver in Iraq, somehow with a bird inside the truck. It was apparently a pet of some the little boys in a village we were operating in.

The other one is my gunner and I. We found 4-star general rank at the PX, just about everyone got their picture taken with it.

Is this a drop tank?

My dad ( 1st Sgt) standing on left with Brit sailors hat on.He told me, that he exchanged uniforms with the sailor and toured around Rome wearing it. I brought this up to him years later when I got in trouble for wearing fatigues in-town Columbus,GA,( which in 1973 was a no-no) and he was giving me grief about it

I have lots of shots of goofing around GI's, but this is my favorite! On the back it simply says "what do you think of this one?"

Not mine, I found it somewhere on the net. Though it's pretty funny as I have an image of my buddy in Iraq doing about the same thing with an AT4

Here's another image I just stumbled upon...

Here's two of my Father Goofing around at Camp Breckenridge KY 1945, he's the PFC on the left in each of them. Don't know why, but he started out as a Tank Crewman (Knox) wound up as a MP (Breckenridge) then wound up ultimately as a Radio Operator (The Canal Zone).

It's interesting the attitude the GIs have in many of the goof-off photos towards holding weapons, versus what you see in European photos of a similar theme.
