Jeeper704 Posted January 4, 2013 Share #78 Posted January 4, 2013 Wouldn't mind getting that 7 year old used car now. A very historic and great grouping you have there. Very particular one. Thanks for sharing this one. I tend to agree with Johan on the Belgian Captain in one of those photos. The insignia are Belgian. Erwin
Tech5 Posted October 21, 2014 Share #79 Posted October 21, 2014 In this photo you get all the tactical signs from the back of the trailer. Does anyone know what the "A GP" means or what it stands for on the left side of the trailer? The 9th Army Markings make sense, 9th Army's CIC DET was the 309th -- XIII Corps' CIC DET was the 213th --- 79th Infantry's Divisions' CIC DET was the 79th
Johan Willaert Posted October 21, 2014 Share #80 Posted October 21, 2014 I believe it would have been 12 AGP for 12th Army Group with the 12 either unmarked or rubbed off.... Unless the CIC Detachment of the 9th Army switched around and they choose not ot pinpoint any number with the Army Group AGP CIC 9A could have been 9A CIC Detachment within an Army Group... Johan Willaert Posted October 21, 2014 Share #81 Posted October 21, 2014 Check out post #29 which has a picture of a Jeep... I believe it is also marked CIC on the driver's side bumper.. Maybe the topic starter can post a bigger scan of it...
