r__a_d_m__ Posted September 30, 2025 #2003 Posted September 30, 2025 Hi, many questions to you guys… Would like to know if it’s a true Tiger Stripes or no? and would like to know the measurements of a US-L tiger stripes… cause i don’t fit in a asian cut, especially at the crotch, so i need to know the crotch seam on a US-L tiger stripes… if anybody know this answer
Nkomo Posted October 5, 2025 #2005 Posted October 5, 2025 This is an odd piece of tiger stripe. Definitely an Afghan made/tailored set of green tigers. The give away on the Afghan made sets are the elastic bands on the sleeve pockets. Tiger stripes are worn by various Afghan special operations units and by their US counterparts. What makes this different is that it was worn by a female US soldier. The name Cali is penned inside the back of the uniform. Could have been from a Cultural Support Team member, but have not been able top find reference pics of them using tiger stripe.
19mac79 Posted October 18, 2025 #2006 Posted October 18, 2025 Hi guys I bought this uniform today just on the off chance it might be something Vietnam....ish. my field of collecting is ww1-2 so I'm out of my depth here. I know it's some form of tiger stripe uniform......is it Vietnam period and any idea of country of manufacture. I apologise if it's something really obvious that I've missed on the net but I've spent the last 3 hours trying find something like it and I'm just getting more confused. Any help would be appreciated.
19mac79 Posted October 18, 2025 #2007 Posted October 18, 2025 Some more pics of the jacket. The stitching is quite rudimentary. Doesn't look like mass manufacturing....but as I said, I've not a clue really.
otter42 Posted October 18, 2025 #2008 Posted October 18, 2025 19mac79, Believe this is 1970s to 80s hunting camo. Company named Ranger made a lot of them. Search tiger stripe hunting camo and you'll find them. Ken

JDWinger Posted December 3, 2025 #2011 Posted December 3, 2025 Howdy all! Here is one of the coolest modded Tiger Stripe that I have even seen. Afghan modded and came from a B/2/3 Bush Hog.
Oddball Posted January 5 #2013 Posted January 5 Hello all, I’ve been absent from this forum for way too long. I just picked up some T.S, ERDL’s and Jungle Jackets from an estate of a S.F. Vet who was in service from 1963- 2004. I’m looking for input on the T.S. Is it legit ? Post war ?

Nkomo Posted April 27 #2023 Posted April 27 A desert tiger stripe uniform from a US Special Forces advisor to the Iraqi Special Commandos/SWAT. The uniform is a standard Chinese made set (yellow tags), but was tailored in Iraq. The jacket has been modified into a combat shirt by adding the jacket sleeves to a t-shirt base. During the Global War on Terror (GWOT), USSF advisors did wear the uniforms of the units they advised/trained. That is the case with this uniform. Uniform came out of Ft Bragg. from Ft Bragg.
