shawnmt6601 Posted December 26, 2015 Share #1327 Posted December 26, 2015 Here is a set of trousers I find intresting. The inner pocket material appears to be made fro a bandolier or carrier for 7.62mm ammo. 2015_1223milstuff329130003.JPG 2015_1223milstuff329130006.JPG for sure its from a bandoleer for 5.56 ammo. you can see the LC "Lake City" and the start of the ink stamp "M193" which is the name for the 5.56 55 grain ball ammo and the ammo came on 10 round stripper clips for loading the 20 round M16 mags
ParaOps Posted December 28, 2015 Share #1328 Posted December 28, 2015 Hello Gents, I would appreciate some assistance with this uniform. It is made of a very light material and has no markings. The buttons, from what I can tell, are the US made version. As you can see the pockets are on the bottom of the shirt and there are no 'map' pockets on the trousers. Any ideas? Thanks Paul

koalorka Posted December 29, 2015 Share #1333 Posted December 29, 2015 Found this shirt a while back, someone knew what it was and made a decent offer I couldn't let up, but I'm curious now what type of TS this might have been.. https://picasaweb.google.com/118118151072740549504/TS?authkey=Gv1sRgCPiTkJvyqNiqZg

on-to-berlin Posted January 4, 2016 Share #1336 Posted January 4, 2016 Backside. Must have hade some time of funny sun exposure due to the uneven fading. Arms show more color than the body. Or maybe the dying technology was really crappy.
Soar Posted January 4, 2016 Share #1337 Posted January 4, 2016 The majority of gold tiger stripe that I have seen has some uneven fading. It is frequently like your shirt where different parts have different fades i.e. sleeves on your shirt or pocket flaps or cuffs, etc, etc. I have often wondered about this as the other Japanese manufactured TS does not seem to show such variations on a regular basis. Either the dyes where very unstable or the garments parts where cut from different batches of fabric. All in all does not seem to be the usual Japanese high quality. Beau-Brummel Posted January 6, 2016 Share #1338 Posted January 6, 2016 Different dye lots from different bolts of cloth, normal with this type.

MilRGRHistory Posted February 8, 2016 Share #1347 Posted February 8, 2016 Seeking knowledge on this piece and I figured I'd consult the experts... Was purchased from a fairly reputable dealer as part of a former SF Officer's estate. Granted I understand they were different units, don't know if this was a trade in country or not. What are the collective thoughts here?
