butcher Posted August 13, 2009 Share #32 Posted August 13, 2009 MASH just released their new silver pattern tiger stripe flight bag. We just got our samples in and they are great. That flight bag looks really sharp, hope they reconsider doing their tigertsripe uniforms again , that would really be great !!!
vintageproductions Posted August 13, 2009 Share #33 Posted August 13, 2009 They won't be doing the uniforms again. I have been on the owner, who is also my business partner, and he has said flat out, he will not do anymore, no matter what. www.vintageproductions.com "A militaria show is a social event for anti-socials" - A.T. 2008 ASMIC Executive President
AK101 Posted August 14, 2009 Share #34 Posted August 14, 2009 They won't be doing the uniforms again. I have been on the owner, who is also my business partner, and he has said flat out, he will not do anymore, no matter what. Any particular reason?
vintageproductions Posted August 14, 2009 Share #35 Posted August 14, 2009 Yes, there is. When MASH does a particular item, they usualy do it one time only and never again. This is why their repros command the prices they do. The gold tiger stripes were ran once and the silver patterns were run twice. All togther they made 600 sets and 450 extra pants. He has other projects in the works, and he is a perfectionists, and wants to devote all his time and energy to his next projects. www.vintageproductions.com "A militaria show is a social event for anti-socials" - A.T. 2008 ASMIC Executive President

butcher Posted August 21, 2009 Share #39 Posted August 21, 2009 Golds come in many colors but the pattern is always something like this or am i wrong, have only one gold garment and the repro i posted earler is a JWD !!!
Mike Force Posted August 22, 2009 Share #40 Posted August 22, 2009 Hi B. The tiger set in post #99 is definitely a JWD pattern repro but with a nice golden colour. Anyway even if the set has not the right print it looks something special for me! Its not bad at all for a repro in my opinion!, take a look at the buttons there are quite close to the real gold garment buttons. The shirt in post #101 is a killer one and 100% real!, I love this kind of goldis with such awesome colours Its actually listed on e-bay # 260465736380 Lets see for how much money it goes away when the auction is closed ? Cheers Mike
Mike Force Posted August 22, 2009 Share #41 Posted August 22, 2009 Yes the set looks good but the price was a little bit high in my opinion? I ordered a set of these http://cgi.ebay.com/Repro-VN-Late-War-Spar...id=p3286.c0.m14 and received it today I have to say it looks very good as well with a fine detail to the original even the light weight fabric is very close and optimal for the summer! It’s a good choice too for bbq’s, beer & chicks!! I wish you good luck with the gold shirt and hopefully the price will not rising over the top!, its quite high already isn’t it !? I could get one of these nice extra coloured gold shirts with my last order and I love it and you would love it too Mike
Spike Posted August 26, 2009 Share #42 Posted August 26, 2009 It's good to know my 2 mint sets of large golds are worth WAAAAAY more than I paid for them. Personally, I think it's a stupid price but it's just a case of a couple of guys getting to a pissing contest, I'll bet within 2 weeks of the auction closing this shirt will be relisted because the winning bidder didn't pay. Mike Force Posted August 26, 2009 Share #43 Posted August 26, 2009 Hi Spike thats exactly what I mean!!!, thats definitely crazy and also you could be right most probable we will see the shirt in 2 weeks again on e-bay except somebody don't know what he could do with all his money! Anyway the good thing is its very grateful to see what kind of reserve funds we got and all the others menbers here in her collections! Hopefully we can get just a close price to this if one time the WORST day is coming where we have to sell some of our pieces!! Cheers Mike

butcher Posted August 29, 2009 Share #46 Posted August 29, 2009 I need a little help here from you guys, just recieved a late war light weight tigerstripe shirt but the pattern seems a bit different ( do not get confused by the leopard pattern in the background ) , stamp & stitching is identical, material feels a bit heavier or is it maybe because this one is mint, this one fits me like a glove, allready went to the pub for a couple ( X 10 ) of beers, Owen & Paul, miss you guys but i will be there soon, thanks a lot

Mike Force Posted August 29, 2009 Share #49 Posted August 29, 2009 Hi B. no doubt both shirts are good as rain and how I can see there fits you perfect too! Nice shirts!!! Mike
vintageproductions Posted August 29, 2009 Share #50 Posted August 29, 2009 The only difference on the two lightweights, is one is unused. As these thinner shirts get worn and laundered, they keep getting thinner and lighter weight. www.vintageproductions.com "A militaria show is a social event for anti-socials" - A.T. 2008 ASMIC Executive President
