American Graffiti Posted October 16, 2010 Share #377 Posted October 16, 2010 Oooh, Thats weird. Unusual cuff design, never seen that. Don't really like the collar configuration, ie. how its sewn to the body, but hey I could be wrong. Could be a far east repro, but the print and fabric is spot on. Spike Posted October 17, 2010 Share #378 Posted October 17, 2010 Looks like the stuff that was made in Japan in the late 80's, could be wrong.
MattD Posted October 17, 2010 Share #379 Posted October 17, 2010 Here is best set of Tiger stripes, I own. These came from a White star, SOG vet
billy-brooks Posted October 17, 2010 Share #380 Posted October 17, 2010 Yes, I think thats right. Am pretty sure its a MASH shirt. Their copy of the gold pattern had a distinctive horizontal pattern repeat that you can see on the back of the shirt Hello, the fabric looks good to me and the cut could be made by a tailor (cuff design, costum made) BUT the black stripes is unsual for me. i think is a good repro. Bombe_Atomique Posted October 18, 2010 Share #382 Posted October 18, 2010 I've not read all pages of the two tiger stripe threads yet. I haven't seen Matt's pattern before. On all the patterns I know the stripes above and under the yellow arrow are combined

Speedor Posted November 9, 2010 Share #384 Posted November 9, 2010 Here's beret in quite unusual pattern: Note the fabric connection: It seems there was a plastic sweat liner, now gone:

Bombe_Atomique Posted November 21, 2010 Share #386 Posted November 21, 2010 I completed to read and look at the two tiger threads some time ago. Still, I'm far away from being an expert. Matt, what's the story behind the last shirt you showed here? It looks like a derivative of the first marine pattern. I haven't shown any pics of my small tiger collection yet. I'm sorry for the bad picture quality. This is a shirt I got from Copran. I like that the left and right side of the front are made of different areas of the pattern. Bombe_Atomique Posted November 21, 2010 Share #388 Posted November 21, 2010 There's a shadow of a patch on the left sleeve. A-S and I can wear it, except that I can't close the top button

kammo-man Posted November 30, 2010 Share #396 Posted November 30, 2010 Guy , here is the beach ball type boonie in the 66 dated VNMC pattern . I added the beer can as I have lost it for many years and just found it in a packet , so before it goes again , its on the hat now. Multi piece make up from scrapes ,same as the liner. Or I just keep it as it is. Very nice shirt! There is a pants from my collection with exactly the same buttons like on the shirt. I saw this small-thin black buttons a couple times before but always on light-weight custom made pices made out of this tiger pattern. Thx. for the posting!
