American Graffiti Posted June 24, 2013 Share #826 Posted June 24, 2013 Bob, that's very cool! Are you sure it's a standard shirt modified? It looks to have a rear vent also? Very nice print and colours AG

Soar Posted June 29, 2013 Share #831 Posted June 29, 2013 Cowboy hat in the 1950s pattern Tiger Stripe. Has all the fine detail in the secondary colours. The additonal elements on the black hook motif, on the front of the brim, is one of the features of this pattern.
kammo-man Posted June 29, 2013 Share #832 Posted June 29, 2013 Soar . That is a VERY nice tiger Cowboy hat !!! Its got a classic early war cut to it in a classic early pattern. Even though its missing its sweat band that does not matter on bit as its fresh on top. Thanks for showing . owen
Soar Posted June 29, 2013 Share #833 Posted June 29, 2013 Thanks a lot. I have some detailed photos of the print, from The Dog Tag, of your stunning first pattern suit, and the hat matches it exactly.

gimp Posted July 3, 2013 Share #841 Posted July 3, 2013 This shirt is from FB. The seller searched the matching pants for this shirt for a while, too. Just same fading and same pattern. BUT this shirt is NOT the same on the photo. "Same, but different" LOL
mhk Posted July 6, 2013 Share #842 Posted July 6, 2013 Ok, i have had this for a while. I bought it from known seller who is also member here. He stated that all patches are real except name tape. I have looked name tape many times and it actually looks to be there quite long time there. Name is readable from fabric from inside. Could this name tape be original? any ideas welcome Thanks Mikko Uniform

Spike Posted July 6, 2013 Share #845 Posted July 6, 2013 I don't like the US jump wing, the name tape or how frayed the ARVN jump wing and jump status patches look.

American Graffiti Posted July 7, 2013 Share #847 Posted July 7, 2013 I also don't like the stitching on any of those patches, too new, also looks to be polyester thread maybe? AG
vintageproductions Posted July 7, 2013 Share #848 Posted July 7, 2013 Its a real shirt with real patches, but just looks like they were put together not that long ago.
mhk Posted July 7, 2013 Share #849 Posted July 7, 2013 Bob, yes like seller said (i quess you know who seller is) that patches are real except name tape. but after seeing it in hand it was name tape who seems to be most long there. i can easily see name when looking fabric inside. Or someone has made good job making it look old addition. Mikko
USCapturephotos Posted July 24, 2013 Share #850 Posted July 24, 2013 Been a military collector for a long time but have a new interest in Vietnam collecting. Was fortunate to score a large collection of color slides from the estate of a USMC advisor to the 3rd S. Viet. marines in 64' and 65' earlier this summer. Also was able to get the only piece of Vietnam uniform clothing of his left, a S. Vietnamese made USMC style fatigue cap in TS and I have a color slide of him wearing the cap. I will try to post some pics of the cap and slides soon. Paul
