ThompsonSavage Posted November 30, 2012 Author Share #35 Posted November 30, 2012 And I would be very interested to know if someone of you guys knows other variations... The pointed flap variation was also made without the vertical stitching line on the inside. This variation had the edges folded underneath the flap with two stitching lines like the regular M1924 pouches, probably made during the transition period from pointed to regular flap. Here is the pouch in question. Picture and pouch are property of member M1-Helmet.com and are reproduced here with his approval.
Fausto Posted November 30, 2012 Share #36 Posted November 30, 2012 Thanks Craig! A lot of information there... And thanks TS! I was a little sceptic about that pouch, but I admit that it is very strange. The fastener is fitted very high and the point is "long" indeed... It would be interesting to see this particular pouch without the tin inside and well flattened. I think you're right about a transitional model between the long pointed flap and the standard M1924... Thanks for posting it ! Fausto
