Red Devil Posted November 25, 2012 Share #1 Posted November 25, 2012 Good day! I wanted to do a quick check here to figure out if these stars are Brigadier General ones or not. They are in a group of misc. Army, Navy (WWII and postwar), sweetheart, and BSA insignia so I'm sure they fit into one of those categories. They have a screw back and a post I usually see on cap insignia. There appear to be no maker marks and these are the best photos I have at this time. Any help would be appreciate in identifying these! Thank you, Johannes
Bob Hudson Posted November 25, 2012 Share #2 Posted November 25, 2012 That looks gold colored - I think flag and general officers only wear silver stars.
Brig Posted November 25, 2012 Share #3 Posted November 25, 2012 Could be for a police or fire department, I've often found these older, bullion type ranks in gold and have been told by cop/fire fighter collectors that a lot of departments used military ranks, made by companies such as Gemsco in gold specifically for that purpose
