Wearp Posted November 24, 2012 Share #1 Posted November 24, 2012 WWI Colt Barrel question I have a colt barrel with the correct interlaced HP on the ejection port which should make it WWI. It however has the G in front of the lug indicating WWII. Does this make it a WWI barrel reissued for use during WWII. There are no other markings on the barrel other than these two. Thanks for your help.

Wearp Posted November 24, 2012 Author Share #3 Posted November 24, 2012 That's my go to site for 1911 info. Unfortunately it covers the HP and the "G" but not the combo together.

shtur Posted November 24, 2012 Share #5 Posted November 24, 2012 Between the two wars and after the wars, out of spec barrels were replaced, some had no letters on top.
