These are three I just picked up. The Solid Purple has been identified as National Guard Bureau. The purple & white has yet to be identified.

Very nice Scott. The grey USN one shows the distinctive curvature of the upper edge of curtain to good effect. What's the US in the triangle? Civil Defense?

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it's a "Civilian in Uniform" hat & insignia.

Here's a beauty I recently purchased. It's stone MINT, the nicest one I've ever had. WWII private purchase Signal Corps.

Enjoy,

Scott

What do you think about this pink and white pipping? (it is not the flash...it is pink at all!)

Two I recently picked up. They came from the same vet, but he was an infantryman. I have his infantry caps also.

I'm on the fence on these, Transportation or Ordnance ?????

It was hard to get an accurate representation of the true colors. This is the best I could get. But the actual colors are slightly darker.

All opinions welcome.

The more research I do, the more I'm leaning towards ORDNANCE.

Hi Scott, that's correct. Sometimes referred to as "non-combatant" or "civilian contractor". Here is a variation on the patch, which I acquired today:

As with the ARC Field Directors, they did not have any braid, nor did they have the braid on the tunic cuffs of the service dress.
