Lets see if I can get away with this one :lol:

Not a line from a War or Historical movie, it's from The Sting, but it is very quotable

Inspector Dreyfus: Now we'll see who has the last laugh!

They've all betrayed me, and now they will have to pay!

What shall I destroy? Buckingham Palace? Too small.

How about London? Not big enough.

England! Yes, England!

Dreyfus Singing Now, Sings: Good-bye Piccadilly, Farewell Leicester Square

Dreyfus stops singing as the Professor enters: You are just in time, Professor.

Within five minutes, I shall destroy England.

England!

No more cricket.

No more warm beer, Professor.

No more fish and chips. No more... England!

"We know how hard it is for you to get an army across the channel. The last "Little Corporal" to try that came a cropper, so please don't start dictating terms to us until you're marching up Whitehall....and even then we won't listen!"

Sir Ralph Richardson as the British Ambassador addressing Hitler's envoy in the movie "The Battle of Britain".

Sir David Kelly (Ralph Richardson) to his Wife after she enters when Baron Von Ricther (Kurt Juergens) leaves: post-34986-0-51957300-1414207128.png It's unforgivable! I lost my temper. [Stirs his tea absentmindedly] And the maddening thing is that he's right. We're on our own. We've been playing for time. And it's running out!

Ganster movie with Bogart & Cagney, can't remember the name, think it's The Roaring Twenties. Both are behind a wall in WW1 France.

Bogart (with a sniper rifle): "There's a kraut out there filling up a canteen".

Cagney: "He's a kid. Can't be more than 15".

BANG!

Bogart: "Looks like he ain't gonna see 16".

Greal lines by SgtMaj Plumley

Yep, anyone's who ever served in any branch of the military knows what type Plumley is from that very first shot of him walking down the sidewalk at Benning. I saw the movie in a theater right next to Fort Lewis and when he appeared with that scowl on his face, half the audience started murmuring and snickering. We all knew what was coming next.

I love, though, when that SGT later on proves his worth in battle and Plumley says something to him in the middle of the fight like, "It's a lovely day, SGT Savage" with an ackowledging smirk. I think anyone who's ever served knows that reaction, too. CSMs have that way about them to drop their guard just a bit to let their humanity come through at exactly the right moment when it's called for. And when it does, it has a huge impact.

From the classic anti-war film Alice's Restaurant:

And I went up there, I said, "Shrink, I want to kill. I mean, I wanna, I

wanna kill. Kill. I wanna, I wanna see, I wanna see blood and gore and
guts and veins in my teeth. Eat dead burnt bodies. I mean kill, Kill,
KILL, KILL." And I started jumpin up and down yelling, "KILL, KILL," and
he started jumpin up and down with me and we was both jumping up and down
yelling, "KILL, KILL." And the sergeant came over, pinned a medal on me,
sent me down the hall, said, "You're our boy.
