I have two warrant officer uniforms in my collection, which i researched and he has 18 years service yet he is wearing no service stripes, the second one

has 16 years service yet again no service stripes, is this common practice for warrant officer not to wear service stripes ?

It will be only your Enlistedmen who wear Service Stripes, Warrant Officers like Commisioned Officers do not, even if they served previously as EMs, they will however wear their Good Conduct medals and the ribbon for them if they were awarded the GC, that's all.

You might find sleeve stripes on Warrant and Commissioned designating overseas service. I never added them to my uniforms. Not sure I recall any junior officers that did.

To clarify, you are referring to the Overseas Bars, correct?
