Here are some closer looks at one of my favorite WW II Garands. This one has the winter trigger attached. Did you find many of those triggers on found Garands or M1's there?

Next post will be 1903, and then a Remington Rand 1911.

Here is the Springfield 1903. I got it with an original bandoleer still with the cardboard inserts. Also came with both WWI and WWII manufactured ammunition.

This post shows my Remington Rand 1911 with original Enger-Kress leather. May try a do-over on these picts when I get a chance as they aren't clear enough to show the numbers.

A recent find from an old lady's attic. A nice 1911, in quite a good condition, all parts seem to be original, just as it left the factory in1918.

Wow, this is this first time I am seeing your collection...simply amazing.

I am hoping one day I can find an M1 Thompson parts kit and BAR kit or even in semi auto..

Looking forward to seeing more!

Hi

I've just spent the last 15mins going thru you collection, and I've enjoyed every bit of it… Although weapons were not the center of my research, your collection the pictures and the quality of your small arms certainly stirred my focuses... Big CONGRATS for such collection!!

I live in France and by law most weapons have to be deactivated (too bad seeing the quality of your small arms) and nice original WW2 weapons are hard to find… To this day I am the proud owner of a December 1943 M1 Garand and a December 1944 Inland carbine, but I have now seen the many possibilities of collecting WW2 small Fire arms!!

Thank you so much for sharing… Hope to see many more greats pieces from your collection!!

Kind Regards

Junior

Another M1 Garand I found on the attic of an old house. This is how I found it, I just removed a layer of dust, it's a little bit rusty but not too bad, except for the barrel, which is in a really bad shape!

It's another Springfield, it is like someone put a spell on me, I just can't find a Winchester!! The serial number puts the production date somewhere in the beginning of June 1943.

Nice M1!

As for a Winchester, they seem to be rather rare in the ETO...

Only 25% of my Garand collection is Winchester... ;-)

Seriously, they are out there, one will pop up eventually..

Since I figure you to be somewhere in Belgium near the Luxembourg border, the only question I have is: Does Ma Deuce shoots?

It's the other way round ArtyScout! I live in Luxembourg, not Belgium! Regarding your question: it's a bit of a schizophrenic situation, the Ma Deuce is still fully functional, but I am not allowed to shoot it! Our law is a little bit weird, we can own full auto guns, they are registered on a collectors gun permit, we do not need to demilitarize them but we are not allowed to fire them. On the plus side we can own almost own anything, I know a guy who has an M2A1 105 mm Howitzer, another one has a 2cm "Flakvierling"!

Man, that's like giving a kid of piece of candy and telling him he can't EAT it! Do they have any sort of special ranges or anywhere you could shoot these babies? You have some real beauties there for sure!
