patches Posted September 1, 2014 Share #53 Posted September 1, 2014 Here's an interesting addition for Craig's topic, stenciled 1948 reg sized MasterSergeant stripes, very interesting has opted for this particular method of displaying his rank at this date, cloth ranks were really the norm by the late 40s early 50s, and that he choose to do it in the exact size of the current (for then) chevrons. The GI is one M/Sgt Fastner, 9th Infantry, 2nd Infantry Division, shipping out from Seattle 29 July 1950. More on this GI in another topic.
