Primark do same (execpt the label) for £3...

Now there's a business opportunity for someone. Buy up a bunch of Primark "tees", get a USN contract stamp made up and bingo!!! ££$$££$$

(For the benefit of US readers, "Primark" is a popular British chain store specializing in budget clothing)

Really, they do 100% cotton, tube constructed, correct 1940s pattern and constructed t-shirts? Can you post some pictures? Especially of the collar construction, sleeve construction, and body construction.

Hi,

with this contract #, the original t-shirt is even not ww2. It should be nxsx....

In addition, to be honest, unless getting one from a grouping, I wouldn't buy such item on ebay. Too easy to fake.

ATF doesn't even make their pea green USMC shirt the correct tube style construction for the reason stated above as its too cost prohibitive.

Here they make them but they end up being very expensive. As a collector I would only want an a original, as a reenactactor I very fine with one from the ¥100 store....

you can get a near perfect WWII white T-shirt virtually the same in the Women's section at K-mart. Look for the "Basic Editions" shirts and they have the correct sleeves, neck and construction. Made of 100% cotton for about $9.99.

Hmm, I might have to check that out. Here in the Pacific NW, there are plenty of very large women (my tiny little wife always has trouble finding things that fit her little frame), so finding a size that'd fit me should prove easy!

Perhaps the word "same" is misleading, how about "similar"..

Aye, the ladies section used to have them, so did George, Glen Malen put me onti them about four or five years ago...£3 as opposed to what is it, £40?....Or ye can try ebay, and get one for £10 and it turns out it's 50s, but looks exactly the same as the eastman one... Come to think of it, looking at original photos, there seems to be a few diferent styles, no?....hope this helps

Bronson does tube knit stuff. Not too bad.

But Bronson's collars are not WWII.  Should look like this:
