1st type of Surgeons cap badge in the late 1850s United States Navy. Commdore's cap and rank straps. These are all based on official drawings and were donated free to the Naval Historical Center at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, District of Columbia by myself. Was asked by the N.H.S. Museum and did this as an unpaid voluteer, but I do not make them for others for obvious reasons, someone might sell them or give them to another who could "age" them. Overseas they use old style cotten and wool cloth as well as silver and goldwire bullion that can pass the blacklight test. As I trade CDs only, and actual insignia I give away, not sell! Enjoy!
