Does anyone have the book:

America's Finest US AIRBORNE UNIFORMS Equipment & Insignia WWII by Gary Howard ?

Expensive book, but maybe it is shown there (?)

Quartermaster

I checked in America's Finest US AIRBORNE UNIFORMS Equipment & Insignia WWII by Gary Howard and it doesn't appear anywhere that I can see.

There's the Griswold bag, the carbine case, the leg bag along with other familiar bags but nothing on the one in question.

Sorry

I can't help thinking that these are made from old surplus Griswold bag material - folded over with an added gusset & carry strap - as a non-issue "military fashion" type of item

Look at it this way: WHAT '45-era weapon will fit inside one of these ?

Only a thought....
