Keith Posted September 22, 2012 Share #1 Posted September 22, 2012 The Estate Sale folks were kind to me today; I found an American Fork & Hoe Company ET dated 1943. It is in a 1945 dated M1943 cover. Thanks for looking. craig_pickrall Posted September 22, 2012 Share #2 Posted September 22, 2012 Very tough to find with a 1943 date. Congratulations! It's a beauty to boot. Quote PLEASE NOTE: THIS COMMUNITY MEMBER, SADLY, HAS PASSED AWAY Please click here to read the tributes to Craig
RustyCanteen Posted September 22, 2012 Share #3 Posted September 22, 2012 As Craig says, it's a very scarce date and as a bonus has a nicely stamped date (as opposed to many more poorly stamped shovels). earlymb Posted September 23, 2012 Share #5 Posted September 23, 2012 That 1943 dated shovel is a great find! You could consider to put it in a 1943 dated 1st pattern (fixed hook) cover, those have become easier to find the last few years.
