Recommended Posts

I picked this uniform up last year at a militaria show and havent been able to do any research on the man. There are multiple names written in the shoulder but after some searching I came up dry. Any help would be appreciated.

Philip

Names are:

E.A. Arrigoni

B.E. Burnett

C.E. Bradshaw

Looks like Edward might be an Iwo vet, he is listed on WIA list so he received a purple heart.

If you ever want to sell that you know whose door to knock on.

Great find!!

I collect items from The Battle of Iwo Jima (1945).

Top Iwo Jima Items I'm Looking For:

1) IDed 5th MarDiv Corpsman Jumper or Forest Green Coat.

2) IDed Coast Guard Navy Jumper

3) IDed CB's Sea Bee's Navy Jumper

4) IDed 147th Infantry Regiment Army Service Coat

5) IDed 32nd ID Army Service Coat (Occupation Kyushu with 5th MarDiv).

I am always looking for named and dated WWII USMC Forest Green wool alpha jackets/coats from the 5th Marine Division or other units who participated in the battle.

Thank you for the info, it is a little tougher to find USMC info. I did find that he is from San Fransisco.

I saw that he was from California, but my phone couldn't access the page correctly.

Gotta love the California vets, just picked up a WWII dress blues from a marine from Los Angeles.

Thanks for the input. Funny thing is, I only own 2 WW2 USMC uniforms, 1 being an Iwo WIA and the other being a USMC Raider!

Very cool but I'm not sure he was wounded at Iwo, it could have been Saipan/Tinian or Roi-Namur just as well.

Very good collection.

I wish they all could be California vets

Well, East coasts vets are hip, I really dig the styles they wear!

Ditto to the other comments Philip. Good luck with the research!
