I picked this uniform up last year at a militaria show and havent been able to do any research on the man. There are multiple names written in the shoulder but after some searching I came up dry. Any help would be appreciated.

Philip

Names are:

E.A. Arrigoni

B.E. Burnett

C.E. Bradshaw

Looks like Edward might be an Iwo vet, he is listed on WIA list so he received a purple heart.

If you ever want to sell that you know whose door to knock on.

Great find!!

Thank you for the info, it is a little tougher to find USMC info. I did find that he is from San Fransisco.

I saw that he was from California, but my phone couldn't access the page correctly.

Gotta love the California vets, just picked up a WWII dress blues from a marine from Los Angeles.

Thanks for the input. Funny thing is, I only own 2 WW2 USMC uniforms, 1 being an Iwo WIA and the other being a USMC Raider!

Very cool but I'm not sure he was wounded at Iwo, it could have been Saipan/Tinian or Roi-Namur just as well.

Very good collection.

I wish they all could be California vets

Well, East coasts vets are hip, I really dig the styles they wear!

Ditto to the other comments Philip. Good luck with the research!

David Arrigoni

...E.A. Arrigoni is my father, Edward Angelo Arrigoni (1908-1984) He was wounded on Saipan and recovered in Honolulu. He spoke Italian, French, Russian and Japanese. I have a large oil painting of him wearing his uniform. If you would like to see it send me an email. David Michael [email protected]
