It is sometimes hard to help others get the feel for the life that is in a grouping.

How the examination and study of it gets you emotionally involved with the person.

I hope I can convey to you why this group captured me and has been with me for over 22 years.

I first came to know of this group at Silver Springs in 1980.

A gentleman came to me a sold me a bunch of TR stuff. It came from his neighbor who's husband had passed away.

There was to be more but I never heard from him again.

Then in 1990 I meet him again at the Carlisle Antique show.

This time he takes me to his neighbor and this was just the beginning of what I got.

Mrs S and I became very good friends.

Most of her friends were nurses she knew from the war.

I had several lunch meetings with them together and individually.

Over time this collection was put together.

All these items are from Mrs S.

Mrs S spent 2 1/2 years overseas starting in Italy and ending in Germany.

You can see the overseas bars on this, my favorite, uniform.

British made battle Jacket.

These are issue women's overalls.

She wore these all over Europe.

Notice the way they button up ??

The boots are also hers. I can't remember correctly but something was altered on them.

Tools of the trade.

Army Issue Pocket Book.

Mrs S's maiden name is on the note in the needle holder she made.

The first time she wore the INVASION arm band was on the way into Anzio.

She continued to wear it as needed until the end of the war.
