Civil War Confederate Officer's boot's & Saber belt

Recommended Posts

Just picked up this Civil War Confederate pair of Officer's riding boots & Saber belt with accoutrements. Leather look's somewhat new, but patina on the metal look's good & has the old musty smell. Back of leather belt & holtser are marked WCC (I believe for Western Costume). Just like to get your thoughts on originality. Thanks for any help.......

The bare leather on the back of the strap looks way to new to be 150 years old.

WCC is indeed Western Costume Company and those would be prop pieces, but even then they can sell for pretty good prices.

Totally agree with VMI88. I think that's a 1970's reenactors get up. That is what is known as a "fantasy" CSA belt plate.
