milsurp_scout_14 Posted June 18, 2023 Share #26 Posted June 18, 2023 Sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but this is the only one I found discussing this specific pouch. I found another of these pouches today, buying from a private collection. This one is marked 'Midland Fabrics Co 1945'. This was an actual maker of M1 Carbine pouches (1943 & 1944 belt type 15rd), but their name is stamped in a different font as normally found on their work. The snap is RAU Fastener marked. These seem like they're clearly fantasy pieces, but they're very well-made (and useful).
mrrm Posted June 21, 2023 Share #27 Posted June 21, 2023 All of these none modified twin pocket 30rd magazine pouches being shown and discussed are not original USGI items. Other than the rigger modified 15rd magazine pockets that have had the extra section of material added, there was never a twin pocket 30rd carbine pouch manufactured under contract for the US Military.
