PT Boat Flag?

I bought this flag at an estate sale with other items from a PT Boat veteran. It measures about 51" on the fly by 28" on the hoist, is marked "US Ens 11," is made of wool bunting, has four grommets, and has seen some use. But is it a PT Boat flag, or just a well-worn ordinary flag?

 

Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

That is the US Naval Ensign, size No. 11 - It's the second smallest size, so I can imagine it could have been used on a PT boat.

Well I found one website saying PT boats used size 11, and another said size 12.
