Sabrejet Posted September 3, 2012 Share #38 Posted September 3, 2012 These were posted on the forum over a year ago so many of our newer members might not have seen them? They are examples of British made-for-US "ETO" jackets, developed from the British Battledress blouse and ultimately evolving into the famous "Ike" jacket. First pattern ETO jacket. A fusion of design features from the battledress blouse and M41 jacket. Widely issued to USAAF personnel.

Sabrejet Posted September 3, 2012 Share #40 Posted September 3, 2012 Second pattern ETO jacket. A refinement of the first pattern. Sometimes mistaken for a BD in contemporary pics!

Sabrejet Posted September 3, 2012 Share #42 Posted September 3, 2012 Officers' quality ETO jacket. Manufactured in modest numbers, therefore quite scarce.

capajo02 Posted September 5, 2012 Share #45 Posted September 5, 2012 I also collect British-Made gear. My collection doesn't hold a candle to the items listed here. Thanks for providing a great reference. I have two pieces of green over-dyed British-Made equipment. Is anyone interested in seeing photos of those items? (The pieces are a Cartridge Belt and First Aid Pouch) Thanks.
robinb Posted September 5, 2012 Share #46 Posted September 5, 2012 British Made duffle bag. It's not US marked, but it was used by a GI. I'm not sure if this qualifies for this topic.
