Very nice!

Post #75, really captures the dedication of the Tomb Guards.

Thanks for posting,

RC

Thanks RC - 24/7 no matter what the weather.

Here's a picture of a member of the 1st Cavalry Division - 1969.

Thanks RC - 24/7 no matter what the weather.

During Hurricane Katrina, I recall that the assigned Honor Guard of "The Tomb", were asked if they wished to temporarily Stand-Down, during the ravages of such weather conditions.

A resounding "Hell-No", was response, from those on Duty Roster.

Thanks again, for your most representative artwork. It IS appreciated!

Kind Regards,

Don.

Here is a sketch of a WWII soldier - I tried to get more of him into the picture but once the face was completed I didn't even have room for the hands.

Last year I tried drawing cartoons (which lead me to my current interest in sketching and watercolors). These are ink sketches (with coloring done online via MS Paintbrush). Needless to say I was going for the laughs and not trying to win any art awards. But the exercise was fun and I hope these novice attempts at humor are enjoyed.

I had published this cartoon as a "caption" contest (got the idea from the New Yorker) and I received some funny suggestions. This caption was my own.

You DO REALIZE that you are going to have to publish these in a book someday...

Great Work!
