gitana Posted August 30, 2012 #1 Posted August 30, 2012 It's a nice one too. I think that's about $2,800 which is probably a good deal for the condition it's in ... if you trust sending that much money for a Craigslist item. If it was here I'd go get it. Craigslist
Bob Hudson Posted August 30, 2012 #2 Posted August 30, 2012 Someone emailed me the other day offering a Model 8 (they wrote "8A") with no liner. So I did some research and learned there is a pretty wide range of selling prices for these. They don't come up for sale too often.
LarryM3 Posted August 30, 2012 #3 Posted August 30, 2012 I would say $2800 is an extraordinarily good price. Larry
Dr_rambow Posted August 30, 2012 #4 Posted August 30, 2012 If I had the money I'd totally buy it. One of the coolest helmets, if you ask me.

History Man Posted August 30, 2012 #6 Posted August 30, 2012 Just typed in WW2 and saw more nice stuff than I ever have in my area! There is also a killer medal group to an officer serving from Span Am to WW2 with all of his full sized medals, ribbons, insignia, and mini medal bar. But for 1750 pounds I think I will have to wait a while! Philip
Dr_rambow Posted August 30, 2012 #7 Posted August 30, 2012 Craigslist pickings in NJ are slim, I guess I gotta get over to London!
LetsGo82nd Posted August 31, 2012 #8 Posted August 31, 2012 Those helmets are very cool. They have a very medieval look to them. I spotted one in an Antique store a few months back but it's price tag was $6500! So I kept on looking. -Jeremy
1944 Posted August 31, 2012 #9 Posted August 31, 2012 Personally If i had that money "Cash" in my savings right now i would be all over this Helmet buying it straight away as these Experimental Model 8's dont come up for sale that often on the market for sale and if they do the liner's dont normally be in not as good condition as this baby its a real keeper for sure  . IMO: There were only 1,300 of these Experimental Model 8's made by Ford in November 1918 and were later Discarded.
swag Posted September 3, 2012 #10 Posted September 3, 2012 It seems to be raining experimental helmets lately.
HoovieDude Posted September 3, 2012 #11 Posted September 3, 2012 It seems to be raining experimental helmets lately. That it does.
Brig Posted September 3, 2012 #12 Posted September 3, 2012 I haven't found a lot on CL, but what I have found has been pretty darn good
