manayunkman Posted August 23, 2012 Author Share #76 Posted August 23, 2012 I'm sure I asked all the right questions as it is all part of the drill. But I can't remember what was said concerning the uniform. I got all his separation papers from her as well as other things.

APO472 Posted August 23, 2012 Share #82 Posted August 23, 2012 Manny, Nice grouping as shown. Just help me understand the link to this and the wing grouping that was on Ebay (not once but twice)? Thanks, Jake Powers
manayunkman Posted August 23, 2012 Author Share #83 Posted August 23, 2012 Interesting, the dagger is an Italian Fascist Dagger. Killer OSS grouping I thought that might be the case with the dagger. Glad you like it. M
manayunkman Posted August 23, 2012 Author Share #84 Posted August 23, 2012 Manny, Nice grouping as shown. Just help me understand the link to this and the wing grouping that was on Ebay (not once but twice)? Thanks, Jake Powers I would be happy to, When I first saw that document on ebay yesterday my heart sank and I couldn't understand how anyone got a photo of it and the vet. I was getting ready to sue someone. This all happened 15 or more years ago but I remembered that I sold a duplicate wing, that came with the group, with copies of Orisek's document. I'm not sure if the ebay seller is the same person but I think it is. He says, in the listing,he sold it once and there was a non paying bidder so he sold it again. Brian Dentino Posted August 23, 2012 Share #91 Posted August 23, 2012 M, probably one of the nicest OSS groupings out there. The documentation is beyond crazy, and to have it all together in your collection is outstanding. Love it, and thanks so much for sharing it with us here!
manayunkman Posted August 23, 2012 Author Share #92 Posted August 23, 2012 Fantastic group! All the documentation really adds alot of depth to this set. Jack's Son Posted August 23, 2012 Share #93 Posted August 23, 2012 You should have kept that other wing though! JD I think the sale of the other wing and document has kind of "muddied the waters" of this group. The group is obviously authentic, just doesn't need the loose end. I Hope this post is not offensive, Manny. If you find it so, please have it deleted.

I Hope this post is not offensive, Manny. If you find it so, please have it deleted. I think that is a stretch JS. The selling of a duplicate wing ( and a COPY of the document ) in no way takes away from the integrity of this group. Now if I had sold both wings and the document then there is a problem with the group. It's like having an antique car with an extra tire. I don't need that tire and the car is fine when it is gone. I trimmed off the fat. If I sold the extra Spec. Recon. Bn. I don't think I could look myself in the mirror. Ha! JS I think your opinion is a little over the edge. But I still like you. manayunkman Posted August 23, 2012 Author Share #97 Posted August 23, 2012 One last photo I forgot to post. I want to keep what is left of this soiled group documented. I figured that I better post it or I just might sell it. Better post it.

If you find it so, please have it deleted. That's a legitimate concern because even Manayunkman got momentarily confused by the presence of the set with the copy http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/ind...t&p=1155121 - it's understandable then that others have and will get confused by this, so it might worthwhile to take screenshots of those recent ebay listings in which the seller explains that his offering included COPIES of the document and photos, and those screenshots need to stay with Manayunkman's grouping for future reference.
