Bob Hudson Posted August 21, 2012 Share #3 Posted August 21, 2012 Yep, this one was not too clever for the Purple Heart trolls at ebay.

MasonK Posted August 21, 2012 Share #5 Posted August 21, 2012 What was the unique approach? That they didn't identify it as a Purple Heart?
FrankEaton01 Posted August 21, 2012 Share #6 Posted August 21, 2012 The seller listed it as a ground dug relic rather than a Purple Heart. It's probably not a coincidence that the auction had been running for days, and then was cancelled only a couple hours after being posted here. So right, posting a prohibited Ebay item on the Forum is it's death toll. DakotaDave
Jack's Son Posted August 21, 2012 Share #9 Posted August 21, 2012 LOOK MA......No listing! It may have been a good try, but the police are everywhere. I would have liked to have seen it though.

DakotaDave Hence why some other forums (militaria or not) have strict rules against discussing current auctions.
Jack's Son Posted August 22, 2012 Share #11 Posted August 22, 2012 This answers may question below. More importantly, it gives some credence to the long help thought that we have a EBay Cop on the forum. We have it all....Medal of Honor police, Purple Heart police, thread police......what next? kriegsmodell Posted August 22, 2012 Share #12 Posted August 22, 2012 What a shame. Some guy ruined a perfectly good Purple Heart medal just so he could try and sell it on ebay. And after all of that, the auction was still cancelled.
