Unkown WWII Webbing Items

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone, lots of us probably have some items in our collection that we don't know what they were used for, or cannot do any research on them. Here are a couple of items, they are not connected in anyway. The long scabbard style item with leather tip probably held something with a sharp end, the lift dot at the top actually attaches to whatever was carried in this pouch. The item on the right of the photo is a large circular loop with a metal ring at the bottom, and a spring clip at the top. Would love some input or suggestions on these please. Cheers Lewis

Hi Bilko / Dave, thanks for the post on the web loop, however I think the web is too thin , and the actual size of the loop too large for the head of the hammer to be held securely.

When this thread runs out I will post some more items hoping that someone may identify. ( Lewis )

Could it be for flag-carrying for a Color Guard?

This is a really old thread, but the item on the left looks like it was designed to carry a sharp instrument. Possibly a pair of shear or scissor like tool.
