S McKibben Posted August 18, 2012 #1 Posted August 18, 2012 I picked up this Hugh flag today and have never seen one like it. It's well marked on the hunting. One side says The S. Mcfadden Co. Makers 19s Hudson st. N.Y. The other side says R.U.Y.C. Sure would appreciate some help if anyone has any info. I think WW1 era myself. Thanks Shawn

Bob Hudson Posted August 18, 2012 #4 Posted August 18, 2012 Sorry can't get my pics down to size. I'm working on it Make it no more than about 650 pixels in any one dimension and save it as a medium quality JPEG. If need be, use just one photo per post.
Bob Hudson Posted August 19, 2012 #7 Posted August 19, 2012 My guess is RUYC most likely would be the Royal Ulster Yacht Club. They sent a large sailing yacht to America in 1899 to challenge the America's Cup.

Bob Hudson Posted August 19, 2012 #12 Posted August 19, 2012 Ok but made in the US?? One of their very large "J Class" yachts might have needed a new one burgee when after cross the Atlantic to race in US waters.
