I picked up this Hugh flag today and have never seen one like it. It's well marked on the hunting.

One side says The S. Mcfadden Co. Makers 19s Hudson st. N.Y.

The other side says R.U.Y.C. Sure would appreciate some help if anyone has any info.

I think WW1 era myself.

Thanks

Shawn

Make it no more than about 650 pixels in any one dimension and save it as a medium quality JPEG. If need be, use just one photo per post.

My guess is RUYC most likely would be the Royal Ulster Yacht Club. They sent a large sailing yacht to America in 1899 to challenge the America's Cup.

One of their very large "J Class" yachts might have needed a new one burgee when after cross the Atlantic to race in US waters.
