agate hunter Posted August 12, 2012 Share #1 Posted August 12, 2012 This last week I went on a 210 mile bicycle ride with my boy scout troop through northern Idaho. We traveled mostly on Rails-to-Trails, old railroad grade paved over. Along the way while riding through Kellogg, Idaho, a 155 mm howitzer caught my eye. As the others took a bathroom brake I took a look at this memorial. I was humbled when I saw that there was a local Medal of Honor recipient from the area and after reading his story. A very impressive monument in a small town. http://svvetsmemorial.vfw1675.org/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Reasoner

agate hunter Posted August 12, 2012 Author Share #4 Posted August 12, 2012 There were also two other stone monuments listing names of the area's war casualties, but I didn't get a picture of them.
