Fritz Posted August 4, 2012 #1 Posted August 4, 2012 Wasn't a bad morning at the market, found this little officers grouping and a 184th Infantry uniform today(I'll post the 184th uniform in a seperate thread). Unfortunatly there is no name to the armor group but all came from the same source, the patches are pretty nice with the one in the center looks the be an early one, it's stitched on wool, the smaller tank devices are by JR Gaunt. Nice little group. Fritz
Fritz Posted August 4, 2012 Author #2 Posted August 4, 2012 heres the brass, the center ones are made by JR Gaunt and the larger ones on the original cardbord are by FOX. The 67th DIs are NS Myer sterling marked.
Fritz Posted August 4, 2012 Author #3 Posted August 4, 2012 Oh and here is a neat piece that came with it as well, 1942 dated license plate from Fort Knox.
History Man Posted August 4, 2012 #4 Posted August 4, 2012 Neat finds, you dont see too many numbered armor brass! Philip
Fritz Posted August 4, 2012 Author #5 Posted August 4, 2012 Thanks Philip! No, you don't see them often at all. Here's a closeup of one of them. Fritz
Jeeper704 Posted August 4, 2012 #7 Posted August 4, 2012 Nice grouping with hard to find numbered armor insignia (originals that is). Are the license plates difficult to find? Would love to get me one of Fort Knox or Camp Hood (if such existed in WWII). Erwin
Fritz Posted August 4, 2012 Author #9 Posted August 4, 2012 Thanks Jerry!! Erwin, not sure how hard they are to find, this is the first one I've seen. Fritz
