craig_pickrall Posted January 10, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 10, 2007 This kit was carried by my father in the PTO. He was a medic but this kit is private purchase.

craig_pickrall Posted January 10, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted January 10, 2007 This is a private purchase Cutter Kit that was in use for many years. These date from the Vietnam era until just a few years ago. They have pretty much disappeared from the market now.

Bob Hudson Posted May 8, 2007 Share #10 Posted May 8, 2007 Did the military ever issue the Cutter kits?
craig_pickrall Posted May 8, 2007 Author Share #11 Posted May 8, 2007 I do not think the Cutter Kits were ever an issue item but I used to see lots of them turn up in surplus. They had the signs of wear that indicate they were carried for a long time but the contents were usually intact. They may have been an Unit Level purchased item but probably most were private purchase.
