Flashlarue Posted July 26, 2012 Share #1 Posted July 26, 2012 This is a six inch round, stamped copper, plaque I found at a flea market for 50 cents. It says U.S.W.V National Auxiliary. The four mounting pins on the back are missing. I would love to learn more about this plaque and what it would have been used for. I thought maybe a grave marker? Salvage Sailor Posted July 26, 2012 Share #2 Posted July 26, 2012 The USWV is the United Spanish War Veterans organization which was comprised of Veterans of the Spanish American War (including the Philippine Insurrection). The Auxiliary was formed to include Wives, sons & other family relations of USWV members. My Gr-Grandmother was the head of one chapter during the 1920's & 30's & I still have some of her records & membership registers.
