I found this group at an estate auction.

Francis J. Gafford was on Eisenhower's legal staff.

In the previous post you can see that the rank insignia are loose. I found them in the pocket.

This picture is original.

Quite a remarkable group! With the USAEUR patch, I assume he stayed in post war. Do you know what he did after 1945? Thanks for posting this.

I have no information on this man at all.

Thank you for your comment.

what a nice grouping with a Eisenhower connection! Not too many of those around.

I might have another Ike connection group if I didn't sell it some time ago.

Glad you like it.

Very nice group!

I have a group to one of Ike's aides captured in North Africa in 1943. Has a nice signed photo of Ike in the group.

A really outstanding group that has an importance that many groups lack. A strong connection to Eisenhower. lad I could see it. Thank you.

A very cool stuff.

I wish I had bought the entire group but I had a hungry family with me and I got distracted.

The auction was a Paladin auction done by John Tonkovich.

Awesome group! I've always enjoyed JAG stuff and hope to go into it myself someday. Its neat seeing their stuff from the war, not too common.
