Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone out there had the 14th Armored Division unit history (or better yet the 47th Tank Battalion!). I'm wondering if there are jeep photos in either volume? If so, would you be willing to scan them for me?

Thanks very much!

The member captaxe has a copy

If you cant get in touch with him, the 14th Armored Division Association may be able to help. I contacted them about my uncle. and received a response from the president of the association. He fought with the 48th Tank Battalion.

Thanks very much! I'm in contact with Mr. Ross and he's putting the word out. Hoping they'll be able to turn up some good information and hopefully a photo or two of my jeep.

I appreciate the advice!

Hi, I'm the historian for the 284th Engr. C. Bn. in WWII and I've been trying to gather the histories of all the units that they've worked with. That includes the 14th AD. I sadly see that their website is no longer active. Might someone be able to send me a copy of their history? My email address is posted here: http://284thcombatengineers.com/contact.cfm

Also, I'm considering "adopting" their website. I can get a copy from archive.org and host it on my webserver. Sadly their domain name is held by some individual trying to get money off of it. Thoughts / comments / advice on this? Is anyone in touch with their association? The email address that was posted on the old website no longer works. I'm happy to host it for free but I'd like to chat with any of their association members to give them access to update and etc.

I've brought the 14th's website back online! I had to change the domain name....

http://14thad.org

(DNS might not be updated yet)

I may give it a facelift when I get some time but for now it is how it was historically.

I have given the 14th's website a complete overhaul.

http://14thad.org

I have most of the Division online now, you can find links to the various battalions on the Order of Battle page:

http://14thad.org/ob14adeto.cfm

I have also posted a scan of the 14th's history book (one of the most impressive histories I've seen):

http://14thad.org/divisionHistory.cfm

Many of the battalions have individual history books / documents. Those can be found on the individual pages for the battalions.
