hirsca Posted June 28, 2012 Share #1 Posted June 28, 2012 Estate sale find today. I think that this a propaganda/upbeat type film from WW2, not a training film. But I need to find someone with a 16mm projector to view it. The film is in perfect condition. Three other cans had all their film melted and destroyed, I guess from heat and/or chemical reactions. Anyone have a clue what the content might be? The title is "Salute to the Navy" and the code for the film is MA-9944. Thanks, Al Hirschler in Dallas. R Leonard Posted July 3, 2012 Share #2 Posted July 3, 2012 Can't help with an ID on the film, but you may wish to nose around for someone who professionally transfers film to DVD. I did that with an old VX-5 change of command film a while back. Wasn't particularly cheap as I recall, but in the long run. preservation wise, was worth the effort.
