Most I have seen are like the top one. The bottom one is i assume minus chain and unit pin as it exactly the same construction as the division pin of the top one! Nice pieces! :thumbsup: As for the significance of the varying between the pieces, I believe it is simply as you say a style difference. I have seen many pieces about in both styles, and have yet to hear of a reason for the difference in style.
