Misfit 45 Posted June 19, 2012 Share #1 Posted June 19, 2012 Just got this ID jeep on ebay to go with my Dale Model Co. jeep. Here's a side by side comparison. Here's the question. Both are made of cast "pot metal" which is non-magnetic, but the Framburg ID jeep seems to be copper plated under the paint. You can seen the difference between the two jeeps. Check it out: http://www.wwiirecognitionmodels.com/ It seems the original Framburg molds were acquired toward the end of the war by a former employee named Dale and modified as I indicated above to include separate turrets and wheels and sold as toys.
